MWEG Voter Preparation Parties
Are you ready to vote on November 3?
A big part of our mission at MWEG is to encourage greater civic engagement, and right now we are in the midst of an all-out push to Protect the Vote. This initiative involves helping citizens register to vote, sharing election information, and ensuring each voice is heard at the ballot box this November. And you can help!
Now is the time to make sure you are not only properly registered to vote but prepared to fill out your ballot! Start now to learn more about the candidates and issues that will be on your ballot in November.
You can make that process more fun by hosting a Voter Preparation Party!
And MWEG has made it easy. Follow these four simple steps β and use our downloadable graphics and worksheet β to help get yourself and others ready for election day!
- Invite some friends. Whether you meet in person, via Zoom, or over the phone, there is strength in numbers! Feel free to use our invitation templates (see below).
- Print the materials or share the digital files. We’ve created a worksheet (see below) for each participant, including instructions to walk you through it together. You can print copies of the worksheet, or share the digital version with your guests.
- Party! You might choose to go through the worksheet together, divide and conquer, or make a competition of it.
- Spread the word. Document and share all the fun you’re having to encourage others to do the same β try #voterprep and #mweg when you post on social media.

Please note that our organization is defined by four core attributes: faithful, nonpartisan, peaceful, and proactive. Accordingly, we envision these meetings as being primarily informative and absolutely civil. We encourage you to participate in deeper discussions about the issues and candidates in MWEG’s state chapters or in follow-up events where all participants commit to adhere to the Six Principles of Peacemaking described on our website.
