Announcing the 2020 Spring Conference for Mormon Women for Ethical Government
Youâve probably heard the phrase âwell-behaved women seldom make history.â But did you know Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, who penned the phrase, didnât mean to suggest that only extreme actions and behaviors matter? Theyâre just the ones that typically get acknowledged in written history. She believes, as does MWEG, that ordinary people have an impact, if they are willing to take action!
The theme for our third annual Mormon Women for Ethical Government conference is âWell-behaved women CAN make history,â and Laurel Thatcher Ulrich will be the keynote speaker.
Join us at our conference to hear from her, along with featured speaker Melissa Wei-Tsing Inouye, Better Days 2020âs Neylan McBaine, MWEG founder Sharlee Mullins Glenn, members of MWEGâs leadership team, and so many other inspiring women. Weâll have presenters covering a variety of topics, including workshops on immigration, op-ed writing, environmental stewardship, and more. Learn what you can do to make history! (Visit our conference website for the full lineup.)
The conference will be held Saturday, March 28. Out of concern for the health and safety of our communities, we have moved to a Virtual Conference this year. Tickets are $25 and include access to all recorded sessions after the conference is over. Please see the registration page for more details.
We hope you will join us for a day of motivation, inspiration, and MWEG sisterhood!
