In light of today’s announcement by Senator Orrin Hatch that he will not seek reelection this coming November, Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG) wishes to thank him for his many years of service to our state and country. As followers of Christ, members of Mormon Women for Ethical Government heartily congratulate and rejoice with voters in the state of Alabama for prioritizing principles over political tribalism in refusing to elect Roy Moore to the Senate. By so doing, Alabama has sent a decisive message to the nation and set a clear precedent: Immoral behavior, regardless of its party of origin, will not go unchecked.
