Media Literacy: How to Address Misinformation on Social Media
Why should we call out misinformation? Social media has become a powerful tool for the dissemination of disinformation, propaganda, and conspiracy theories related to current events. This causes division, confusion, and contention among friends, family members, and neighbors. It impedes our ability to make well-informed judgments as citizens. 4th Principle of Peacemaking: Peacemaking Views Human Suffering as Sacred

We watched in real time while hyper-partisanship dealt a serious blow to one of our most sacred democratic institutions. Some have asked why MWEG engaged so publicly in this particular battle. We did not see this as a contest between Republicans and Democrats or between conservatism or liberalism. We reject the notion that every engagement in the civic sphere must necessarily…

Welcome! About Us
Welcome to Mormon Women for Ethical Government. This group was born of desire, frustration, and hope — the desire to act, the frustration that comes from feeling directionless and alone in our efforts, and the hope that, working together, we can actually make a difference. There is strength in numbers and power in organization, and so we have created this space where we can come together to share our ideas and our plans of action, coordinate our efforts, and support one another in our call for a return to honor, decency, and ethics in our government and social institutions. We believe we were created to act and not be acted…
